Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 10 March 2025 · Effective Date: 10 March 2025
1. Definitions
- "Chronoluxe", "we", "us", "our" — the watch repair workshop operating from 203 Persiaran Kayangan, 40100 Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
- "Client", "you" — any individual who submits a timepiece for service or enquires about services.
- "Service" — any repair, assessment, or parts sourcing activity carried out by Chronoluxe.
- "Piece" — any timepiece submitted to the workshop.
- "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions, together with any written service proposal accepted by the Client.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a timepiece for service, requesting a quote, or using this website, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms & Conditions. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement.
3. Service Description
Chronoluxe provides three named services: Alarm and Complication Repair, Crown/Stem/Tube Replacement, and Parts Sourcing for Older References. Each service is described on the Solutions page of this website. Services are provided at the Shah Alam workshop by appointment. Chronoluxe reserves the right to decline a service request at its discretion, for example where a piece falls outside the workshop's current capacity.
4. Intake and Scope
All work begins with an assessment. The scope of service is agreed with the Client before any work proceeds. No additional work will be undertaken beyond the agreed scope without the Client's explicit approval. The Client's approval may be given verbally or in writing. Chronoluxe will document all approvals.
5. Client Responsibilities
- The Client must be the lawful owner of the piece, or have the authority of the owner to submit it for service.
- The Client must provide accurate information about the piece and its known condition.
- The Client is responsible for collecting the piece promptly once the service is complete and the workshop has notified them.
- Pieces left uncollected for more than 90 days after notification may be subject to a storage fee at the workshop's discretion.
6. Pricing and Payment
Service prices are listed on the Solutions page in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Prices are subject to change and the applicable price is that confirmed in writing at the time of scope agreement. Payment is due upon collection of the piece. Accepted payment methods are cash and bank transfer. For parts sourcing, the search fee is payable upon commission; any additional parts costs are agreed separately before the Client commits to a purchase.
7. Parts Sourcing Terms
The parts sourcing service carries no assurance of success. Supply of vintage and discontinued parts is unpredictable. Chronoluxe will conduct a diligent search and provide a written proposal for each candidate identified. The Client may accept or decline each proposal without obligation. If no suitable part is found, the search fee still applies to cover the time and resources committed to the search.
8. Turnaround Times
Estimated turnaround times are given as guidance and are not binding commitments. Complications involving parts sourcing or specialist assessment may extend timelines. The Client will be kept informed of any significant delay.
9. Service Records
A written service record accompanies every completed service. Chronoluxe retains a copy of all service records for 7 years. These records may be requested by the Client at any time during that period.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, and design, is the property of Chronoluxe or used with appropriate permission. No part of this website may be reproduced without written consent.
11. Disclaimers
Services are provided with reasonable skill and care. Chronoluxe makes no representation that any service will fully restore a piece to a particular condition, particularly where the piece has pre-existing wear beyond the scope of the service agreed. Mechanical components have finite lifespans and outcomes cannot be specified in advance.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Chronoluxe's liability in connection with any service is limited to the price paid for that service. Chronoluxe is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or injury caused by negligence.
13. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If resolution is not reached within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to the relevant consumer dispute resolution body in Malaysia. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any court proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Shah Alam, Selangor.
14. Changes to These Terms
Chronoluxe may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version is indicated by the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
