Close-up of watch movement components on workbench

Workshop services

Three services,
clearly defined

Each service at Chronoluxe has a stated scope, a stated price in Malaysian Ringgit, and a written record that returns with the piece. No vague diagnostics, no surprise additions.

Method

How the workshop approaches every job

01

Intake Assessment

The piece is received and assessed in its received condition. Observations are recorded before any work begins, establishing a clear baseline.

02

Scope Agreement

Work is scoped to what is observed. The scope is explained to the owner in plain terms. No step proceeds until the owner agrees.

03

Service Execution

The agreed work is carried out. Regulation readings are taken where applicable. Water resistance is tested where the case design permits.

04

Documentation & Return

A written account of the service accompanies the piece on its return — parts referenced, readings recorded, observations noted.

Service 01

Alarm and Complication Repair

Watch complication mechanism close-up

A service for timepieces with additional functions — alarms, dual-time displays, day/date complications, and moonphase indicators. Each complication is assessed in context of the base calibre. Work is scoped to the observed concern rather than as a default full disassembly. Where wheels or springs specific to the complication need attention, options are discussed with the owner before any step is taken.

  • Alarm mechanism evaluation and regulation
  • Dual-time, day/date, and moonphase complication work
  • Calibre-contextual assessment — no blanket strip-down
  • Written account and regulation readings returned with the piece
  • Owner consulted before any additional work is undertaken

Service 02

Crown, Stem and Tube Replacement

Watch crown and winding stem components

A frequently requested service addressing the winding and setting assembly — the crown, the stem, and the tube passing through the case wall. The work begins with confirmation of the correct original reference, followed by careful removal of the existing components and installation of matched replacements. A water resistance test follows where the design permits, and any deviation from factory specification is noted in writing.

  • Original reference confirmed before work begins
  • Matched replacement crown, stem, and tube installed
  • Water resistance test conducted where case design allows
  • Particularly suitable for stiff or loose crown concerns
  • Factory specification deviation noted where applicable

Service 03

Parts Sourcing for Older References

Vintage watch parts and reference materials

A sourcing service for owners of older timepieces requiring specific parts no longer in general supply. The workshop draws on an in-house reference library and a network of trade partners. Searches are conducted methodically, with the owner kept informed as candidates are identified. No assurance is made regarding timelines or availability, since vintage part supply is unpredictable. A written proposal follows each search, allowing the owner to decide how to proceed.

  • In-house reference library and trade partner network
  • Owner informed at each stage of the search
  • Written proposal provided before any commitment
  • No sourcing fee if no suitable candidate is found
  • Owner decides how to proceed — no obligation
